Cycling Club

First Sportive of the season is on Saturday 14th February from Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar. 40km, 80km or 120km cycle to coincide with 1st Epilepsy Day.

Art Camp

Green Schools Programme

The children of Scoil Naomh Bríd are “Springing into action” in the “Big Travel Challenge”. Pupils who travel by car are making a special effort to Part n'stride for the month of February. They are hosting a “Love Walking Action Day” on Tuesday 10th and will be putting a green school's twist on their school subjects. Our message to the public is to wear a high-vis jacket when walking the road…Be safe, Be seen.


Painting with oils

The basics of painting with oils, with Nuala Clarke in Ballycastle Community Hall, Wednesdays  in FEBRUARY, 7-9pm. brush up on the basics, colour mixing, layering, composition and other fun, for anyone interested; adults and teenagers. 

4 weeks: €50 (or drop - in €15 per class).  Basic materials available, bring whatever you have.


Golf Society

Next outing is to Tubbercurry Golf Club on 28/2/15.

1st tee is for 10.30am so please be there for 10am.

Ballycastle 10k & 6k road race, walk & fun run on Saturday 27th June 2015.



Children's Basketball on Tuesdays at 5.30 – 6.30p.m. for 8 – 10yrs and

from 6.30 – 7.30p.m. for ages 11 – 14.

Ladies basketball at 8.00p.m. on Tuesdays.

Men & Ladies basketball on Thursdays at 8.00p.m.


Athletic Club

Ballycastle A.C. Operation Transformation 5k walk and run Saturday mornings at 10am to February 14th from Ballycastle Community Hall, contact Mike 087 9145551.

Juvenile training every Friday in the Hall at 7pm.


Art Group

Art Group meet in the Resource Centre on Mondays from 2.00 – 5.00p.m. New members welcome. Guidance available from our resident artist Sue Upton.

Art Gallery, featuring paintings by local artists is situated upstairs in the Resource Centre, Main Street.

Open 10.00a.m. - 5.00p.m. Monday - Friday.

O-55's Club

Over 55's exercise club meet in Suífinn Way Centre on Tuesdays at 11.30a.m.


Book Club

Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, wooden bowls, cushions, cot quilts, etc.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, bookmarks, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's crosses, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.
