Vintage Society Field Day

West Coast Vintage Society Annual Field Day will take place in Ballycastle on Sunday 15th May 2011 from 12.00noon – 6.00p.m. with Vintage Motor Bikes, Vintage Tractors, Vintage cars, Vintage Lorries, Modern Motorcycles, Retro Cars, Model Exhibits, Working Tractors Exhibit, Blacksmith, Straw Weaving, Butter-making, Potter's Wheel , Wood Turning, Crafts Display, Trade Stands, Dog Show, Amusements and much more. MWR will broadcast live from the event. All exhibits must be insured.

Fundraiser

 

A fun filled night in aid of Hospice Friendly Hospital will take place in Healy's Pub, Ballycastle on Friday 20th May at 8.00p.m. with Bar-B-Q, Leg Waxing, Beard Shave, Hair Dying ( Pink! ), Wellington Throwing and much more. Admission is free and your support will be greatly appreciated. Money raised is to help set up a Family Room for support and comfort for families of patients in the Oncology Unit in Mayo General Hospital , Castlebar.

The New Tús Scheme

The Tús Scheme announced by the previous Government will be up and running in the next couple of months. It aims to provide meaningful and quality work to those in long term unemployment while at the same time provide valuable services to the community.

It is modelled on the very successful Rural Social Scheme and is organised by the Department of Social Protection. More information is available on the Department's website.

Application forms for Community Groups seeking assistance under the Scheme are available from the offices of Mayo North East Leader Partnership Co., Lower Main Street , Foxford.
