Congratulations and best wishes for the future to Lorna Hunt and Mark O'Donnell who were married in St. Bridget's Church, Ballycastle on Friday last.


Recent Deaths

The death occurred on Monday of Patrick Forde, Heathfield, Ballycastle.

Predeceased by his sister Betty.

Sympathy is extended to his wife Mona, daughters Mary Queenan (Ballina),

Breege (Ballina), Eilish (Ballycastle) and sons John (Ballycastle) and Brian (Ballina),

his sister Mary Joe Rackard (Dublin), grandchildren Teresa, Thomas, James, Sinéad, Alan, Janette and Martin, in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


Reposing at McGowans Funeral Home, Ballina on Thursday from 5pm with removal at 6.30pm to

St. Bridget's Church, Ballycastle arriving at 7.15pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am followed by burial in Ballycastle Cemetery .

May he rest in peace.


The death occurred on Wednesday of Margaret Cavish (née Slipp), Rathoonagh, Ballycastle.

Sympathy is extended to her husband Seán, son Graham, daughter Tracy,

son-in-law Dean, grandchildren Owen and Britney, relatives and friends.


Reposing at Lynn 's Funeral Home, Killala on Friday 14th from 6.30pm with removal at 8pm to

St. Bridget's Church, Ballycastle arriving at 8.30pm. Mass on Saturday at 11.00am followed by burial in Ballycastle Cemetery .

May she rest in peace.


Sympathy is also extended to the family, relatives and friends of Teresa Gallagher who died recently (sister-in-law of the late Phil Hunt).

Tractor Run

West Coast Vintage Society are holding a memorial Tractor Run for Basil Petrie on Sunday 30th October, starting at Killala Community Centre at 11am.

Refreshments afterwards in Gilvarry's Pub, Killala with raffle and spot prizes.

All proceeds going to Cancer Care west.
