Churches
will be reopening for public Masses on the weekend of 25/26th
July.
Please
sanitize your hands as you enter the church. (New hand dispensers
have been put in place at all doors).
Every
second seat will be cordoned off. Stewards will direct you
to your seat.
Families
may sit together, otherwise you must comply with the 2metre
distancing.
It
is compulsory for Eucharist Ministers to wear a mask when
distributing Holy Communion.
It
is encouraged that parishioners also wear them.
For
Holy Communion, you will queue but please keep 2 metres between
each communicant.
Only
the priest and the sacristan are allowed in the sacristy.
When
leaving the Church, please observe social distancing.
It
is also recommended that all doors remain open during weekend
Mass.
Collection
Baskets will not be passed around, so please continue to put
the envelopes in the letter boxes
in
each of the 3 porches or leave at the Parish Priest's house.
A
meeting of all Eucharist Ministers will take place in Ballycastle
Church on Wednesday 22 nd July at 7.00p.m. It is important
that all Eucharist Ministers attend.
Mass
on Downpatrick Head, which usually takes place on the last
weekend of July, has been cancelled for this year.
The
annual climb of Croagh Patrick, which takes place on the same
weekend, has also been cancelled for this year.
St.
Bridget's Church is open daily for anyone who wishes to visit
for quiet prayer.
During
the week, please use the side door on the east side (the door
where the wheelchair parking is allocated) as the other doors
will remain closed and will only open for weekend Masses.
