Churches reopening

Churches will be reopening for public Masses on the weekend of 25/26th July.

Please sanitize your hands as you enter the church. (New hand dispensers have been put in place at all doors).

Every second seat will be cordoned off. Stewards will direct you to your seat.

Families may sit together, otherwise you must comply with the 2metre distancing.

It is compulsory for Eucharist Ministers to wear a mask when distributing Holy Communion.

It is encouraged that parishioners also wear them.

For Holy Communion, you will queue but please keep 2 metres between each communicant.

Only the priest and the sacristan are allowed in the sacristy.

When leaving the Church, please observe social distancing.

It is also recommended that all doors remain open during weekend Mass.

Collection Baskets will not be passed around, so please continue to put the envelopes in the letter boxes

in each of the 3 porches or leave at the Parish Priest's house.

A meeting of all Eucharist Ministers will take place in Ballycastle Church on Wednesday 22 nd July at 7.00p.m. It is important that all Eucharist Ministers attend.

Mass on Downpatrick Head, which usually takes place on the last weekend of July, has been cancelled for this year.

The annual climb of Croagh Patrick, which takes place on the same weekend, has also been cancelled for this year.

St. Bridget's Church is open daily for anyone who wishes to visit for quiet prayer.

During the week, please use the side door on the east side (the door where the wheelchair parking is allocated) as the other doors will remain closed and will only open for weekend Masses.
