Culture Night at Ballinglen

The Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Ballycastle are once again delighted to host Culture Night on Friday 18th September and to open its door to the public from 7p.m. – 10p.m.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see first-hand a Demonstration of Bronze Age Casting at 7.00 p.m. by Sculptor Holger Lonze, Exhibition by Karen Hendy, Open Studios by Irish & International Artists, and our Archive Collection. This is an experience not to be missed!!

Karen Hendy Exhibition

Ballinglen Arts Foundation, Ballycastle are happy to announce the opening of the Exhibition ' The Littoral' by Irish Artist Karen Hendy on September 18th 2015 from 7 - 10 p.m. and this Exhibition continues until 30th October 2015.
Karen's work has been exhibited at an international level. Her work has been shown in Berlin , Tokyo , and at prestigious venues such as The Royal Hibernian Academy and the Royal Ulster Academy , as well as having been selected for festivals such as EV-A and Eigse.
The Littoral series takes as its staring point the inter-tidal zone - never land, never sea. This series first saw the introduction of burnt silage foil, a common sight in rural Ireland .

Do come along on the 'Opening' night to see first-hand this interesting mixed media process.  Everyone welcome and refreshments will be served on the night

 

Golf Society

Next outing is Oliver Clarke's captains prize, which is at Enniscrone main course on Saturday 19th September.  1st tee is booked for 12 noon so please could we all be there between 11am and 11.30 am as course is very busy that day.
