Sympathy

The parish of Ballycastle/Belderrig was saddened to hear of the death of

Fr. Brian Conlon on Tuesday 16th August, formerly of Carrowloughan, Dromard,

Co. Sligo .

Fr. Conlon just recently retired as Parish Priest of Ballycastle/Belderrig.

Predeceased by his parents Tom & Nora and his brothers Paddy & Seán.

Sympathy is extended to his brothers Tommy, Dermot and Eugene, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.

May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Reposing at Lynn 's Funeral Home, Killala on Thursday from 5pm – 7pm, with removal to

St. Bridget's Church, Ballycastle at 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday at 12.00noon followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skreen, Co. Sligo .

 

The death occurred on 11th August of Vincent Donoghue, formerly of Moneen, Killala,

Sallins, Co. Kildare and Ballycastle, Co. Mayo.

Predeceased by his parents Frank & Annie, granddaughter Olivia, sister Ann and brother Seán.

Sympathy is extended to his wife Kate, his daughters Emma and Sinéad, son Matthew,

sisters Mary (McNamee), Veronica (Gaughan), Madeline (McGuire) and Dympna,

brothers Paddy and Brendan, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews,

relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Cemetery Mass

Kilbride Cemetery Mass, scheduled for Friday 19th August at 6.00p.m., has been postponed.

Céide Fields

Open daily from 10.00a.m. – 6.00p.m. (last admission 5.15p.m.)

Free admission on the first Wednesday of every month.

Kellie and Emma of Céide Ladle are operating the café every day.

Céide Coast Half Marathon & 10k

The Céide Coast Half Marathon will be held in Ballycastle on 8th October 2022.

This race will be run on the day in conjunction with the 10k Coastal Challenge which is now in its 7th successful year.
