Christmas Nativity Play

Christmas Nativity Play/Carol Service hosted by the staff and children of Scoil Naomh Bríd, will take place in the Church on Thursday 18th December at 7.30p.m. All welcome.

The AGM of Ballycastle GAA will take place on Friday 19th December at 7.00p.m. in the Resource Centre, followed by a Table Quiz in Katie Macs at 9.00p.m. Table of four €40. All monies raised will go towards the Players Holiday Fund.

North Mayo A Final: Baile an Chaisil v Ardagh scheduled for Friday 12th was postponed until the new year.

Christmas Bingo in Ballycastle Hall on Monday 22nd December at 8.30p.m. Guaranteed Jackpot of €300. Raffle for Hamper valued at €250 and other prizes, also spot prizes on the night.

 

Scoil Rince Uí Mhurchu

Congratulations to nine members of Scoil Rince Uí Mhurchu who qualified for the All-Ireland Irish Dancing competitions: Niamh Murphy, Jodie Kelly, Gillian Tomas, Nicole Tomas, Caoimhe Tomas, Anna Heffernan, Leah Munnelly, Alise Tuohill and Denise Walsh.

 

Ballycastle Food & Craft Market

The last Market for this year takes place on Friday in the Community Hall from 9.30a.m. – 12.30p.m. The market will re-commence in March 2015.

Raffle for Handmade Quilt

Handmade quilt by Anona will be raffled, in aid of the National Rehab Centre, Dun Laoghaire , on Saturday 20th December in Healys. Come along after Mass and enjoy music by the Jackson family, food and a chance to win some other prizes. Quilt is on display in the Craft Shop and tickets for raffle are €5 each.

 

Ballycastle A.C.

Ballycastle A.C. are hosting a 10k & 5K Family Fun Run / Walk on St. Stephens day at 1pm, registration from 12noon in Healy's Pub. All fundraising on day will be donated to a local cause.

Carol Service in St. John's Church on Sunday 28th December at 8.00p.m. All are welcome.

 

Cycling Club

Baile an Chaisil Cycling Club 2nd Annual Christmas cycle takes place on Thursday 1st January at 1pm (36km). We encourage non cyclists to drop into the Seaview Lounge afterwards for a cup of tea and refreshments and maybe give a donation to a local cause the club are collecting for.

 

Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, wooden bowls, cushions, cot quilts, etc.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, bookmarks, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's crosses, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.
