Ballycastle/Belderrig Festival takes place from Thursday 1st to Saturday 10th August.

Flower Festival

Flower Festival in St. John's Church on Sunday 4th August from 12.00noon. Even Song at 5.00p.m. Open again on Monday 5th 12.00noon – 5.00p.m.

Tidy Towns

Many thanks to Mike and Ros Calander for the donation of this beautiful boat to our community, it has greatly enhanced the bottom of our village. Also, a huge thank you to Arthur Hicks, Master Crafts Man, who restored this vessel from a total wreck. All this work was voluntary and is very much appreciated by all. (photos in Photo Gallery).

The Shambles

As this newly renovated amenity nears completion, we are happy to offer the opportunity to any one who would like to sponsor a picnic bench or a tree which we feel will greatly enhance this area.

Water Safety

Water Safety week at Lacken Pier commencing Monday 29th July at 3.00p.m.

Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, candles, fridge magnets, wooden bowls, cushions etc.

Also, Paintings by local artists, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.

Tourist Information, Fax, Laminating, Photocopying, Typing.

Monday – Friday 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m. (closed for lunch 1 – 2.00p.m.)

Shop will also be open on Saturdays from 11.00a.m. – 4.00p.m. for July and August.

Library is located in the VEC Building (former Secondary School) and is open on Wednesdays from 9.30a.m. – 4.00p.m.

 

Classes

Irish Dancing classes continue every Monday and Thursday, in St John's Hall, Ballycastle from 5pm till 6.30pm. New members are always welcome. Children can start from age 3 up.

 

Outdoor Gym

The new outdoor fitness gym in Suífinn Way Estate is open to anybody over the age of 50. The equipment is clearly marked with instructions on how to use each individual piece.
