Casual
Trading Rights
On
Saturday 29th April, local produce was sold on Ballycastle
Main Street in compliance with procedures set out by Irish
Market Rights Organisation to protect the existing rights
of casual traders and extend them for a further 10 years under
the old legislation. These rights have existed for
the past 400 years and extend to most Irish towns, but have
been changed by the 1995 Casual Trading Act. More information
about this can be accessed on www.irishmarketrights.org.
Deaths
Sympathy
is extended to the families, relatives and friends of Molly
Coultry, Cortoon (Mother of John, Belderrig) who died last
week and Mai Loftus (late of Keerglen) who died recently in
England.
