Christmas Fair

Annual Christmas Fair will once again take place in Ballycastle Community Hall on Saturday 28th November from 12.00noon – 6.00p.m. and Sunday 29th November from 10.00a.m. – 4.00p.m. with a variety of Crafts, Home Baking, Christmas flowers, cards, decorations and stocking fillers and lots more. Admission free and all welcome.

Tables cost €15 for one day or €25 for 2 days. Contact 086 3787551 or 086 8492070.

Raffle for Hamper and other prizes will take place on Sunday 29 th . Tickets at €2 per line now on sale in local businesses and will also be on sale during the Fair. Also, guess the weight of the Christmas cake correctly and win it!!


Fundraiser for Peter

The lives of the Sweeney family from Ballyglass, Ballycastle were thrown into chaos in the last few months. A fundraising initiative is now set to get underway to help defray costs and we hope to hold a Fundraiser in Katie Macs, Ballycastle on Saturday 28th November. We hope to have an evening of the very best in Irish traditional music, featuring the very best of North Mayo Talent.

Supported by Ballycastle Cycling Club, Ballycastle Athletics Club and Ballycastle GAA Club.

Cemetery Rosary

Rosary and Prayers in Ballycastle Cemetery on Sunday next, 22nd November, after 11.30a.m. Mass and after that in Kilbride Cemetery and on Sunday 29th in Doonfeeney and Belderrig Cemeteries.

Kiddies Korner Superdraw

The 1st draw in Kiddies Korner Superdraw will take place on Friday 4th December at 12.00noon in the Playschool. A total of €7,000 in prizes – 5 x €1,000 and 4 x €500 - will be won by some of our lucky lotto members on the day. Light refreshments will be served as well as other surprises. All welcome.



Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Harry Keegan who died recently (husband of Anne Doherty, Ballymachugh and brother-in-law of Martin Doherty Suífinn Way. May he rest in peace.



Annual General Meeting of Ballycastle GAA Club will be held on Saturday 28th November at 7.00pm in the Resource Centre.

Cookery Demonstration

Once again St.Patrick's College, Lacken Cross will host a cookery Demonstration evening with TV3 Chef Adrian Martin with Christmas markets and Food Fair. Everything from craft butchers to yummy bakers, beauty/hair to craft makers, local suppliers with all their flare, all you will need for this festive year and a few surprises. It promises to be a fantastic night so get in the Christmas spirit on December 1st. Social Dancing in the Merry Monk, Ballina on Thursday nights starting a 9.00p.m.



Opening times for the Gymnasium in Ballycastle Community Hall are:

Monday – Friday 9.00a.m. – 1.00p.m. and 5.00p.m. – 9.00p.m.

Saturday 10.00a.m. – 1.30p.m.
