Healyfest Music Festival

Healyfest Music Festival 2012 takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend at Healy's Pub, Ballycastle, Co. Mayo.

Art Exhibition

Ballycastle Art Group's Annual Art Exhibition opens on Saturday 4th August in the Resource Centre Art Gallery , Ballycastle. This year's Exhibition ‘Faces and Places' will be officially opened at 8.30p.m. by Fr. Michael Harrison P.P. followed by a cheese and wine reception. All Welcome.

The Exhibition will open over the Bank Holiday weekend - Sunday and Monday from 12.00noon – 4.00p.m. and will open Monday – Friday 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m.

Downpatrick Head Mass

Mass was not celebrated on Downpatrick Head on Sunday last due to weather conditions.

Mass was celebrated in St. Brigid's Church at 12.00noon.

Cake Sale in St. John's Hall, Ballycastle on Saturday 11th August at 8.30p.m. Homemade cakes, bread and jams, garden produce, and lots of other items. Guess the weight of the cake. Spot prizes on door tickets. Admission €3, children free. All proceeds in aid of St. John's Church , Ballycastle.

 

Community Care

Lacken Community Care Annual Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Wednesday 8 th August. Fr. Brian Conlon will celebrate Mass at 5.15p.m. in the Gable Chapel. Dinner in Knock House Hotel, tea in Pontoon Bridge Hotel. Bus transport included, price €30. Names and deposit of €20 to be given to Carrowmore P.O. by Friday 3 rd August.

The new outdoor fitness gym is finally installed in Suífinn Way Estate and open to anybody over the age of 50. The equipment is clearly marked with instructions on how to use each individual piece.
