Deaths

The death occurred on 26th January of Mairtín O'Flatharta, Carrowcubic, Ballycastle and formerly of Carraroe, Galway . Mairtín was a former teacher and Principal in St. Bridget's National School , Ballycastle.

Sympathy is extended to his wife Mauretti, daughters Aisling and Niamh, sons-in-law, brothers, sisters and extended family, relatives and friends.

 

The death occurred on 25th January of Mary Callaghan ( nee Cosgrove ), Ballymanagh, Knockanillaun, Crossmolina. Sympathy is extended to her sisters Bridie Hunt, Carrowcubic and Madeline Gaughan, Seaview, her family, relatives and friends .

Baile an Chaisil CC

First outing:

First outing of the year is the ‘Saddle up for Epilepsy' on the 25th February in Castlebar. Cycling Ireland membership must be paid before this date. Ballycastle Cycling Club membership is free this year.

 

Turbo Training:

Club turbo training has been moved to Monday nights at 8.00pm in St. John's Hall. All welcome. For more details contact Máirtín at 086 3225128.

Club spins on Sundays at 9.00a.m. from the Shambles.

 

Giro de Baile 2017

The Giro de Baile will take place this year on Sunday 6th August ( Bank Holiday Weekend) at 9.00.am. from Main Street , Ballycastle.

Now in its fourth year, this year's event is hosted by Baile an Chaisil Cycling Club.

There is a choice of 3 routes - 146km, 104km or 60km.

Early bird registration €30; Day registration €45. Resigration on the day from 8.00a.m.

Vintage Society

West Coast Vintage Society Road Run on Sunday 12th February in memory of Aidan Tighe and Peter Sweeney. Registration at 11.00a.m. in the Resource Centre, Ballycastle. All monies raised going to the Irish Cancer Society. Open to all modes of transport. Refreshments after in Phil Healys.

 

Athletic Club

Ballycastle Athletic Club training every Friday evening 6.30p.m. at Ballycastle Community Hall. New Members welcome.
