Book Launch

Julia Stagg, daughter of Mike and Ellen, Doonadoba, Ballycastle will celebrate the publication of her first novel ‘L' Auberge' with a French themed evening at the County Library, The Mall, Castlebar on Tuesday June 14th at 8.00p.m.

 

Although the story is set in France it is centred around a small village and portrays the local politics of intrigue and deception which are to be found in any rural community.

 

The book will be launched by Mrs Fionnuala Kenny and the event is supported by Castle Book Shop, Castlebar and by the County Library. In true French fashion wine and cheese will be provided on the night.

All are welcome.

Tracy Rooney, together with her committee, would like to thank everybody who made her Cancer Fundraiser a huge success. A big thank you to Phil for the use of Healy's Pub. To all who helped, participated and supported we are grateful. A special thanks to all the ‘Pink Heads' who, as well as dying their hair, sold all the raffle tickets. You are all a credit to your families and school.

We raised a whopping €5,453.50 which will be used to help fund a family/relatives room at the Oncology Unit in Mayo General Hospital .
