Molly Madden R.I.P.

The death occurred on Saturday 16th January of Molly Madden (nee Keane) Seaview, Ballycastle and late of Glenurla, Ballycastle. Aged 109, Molly was Ireland 's oldest citizen and the oldest Irish citizen in the world. She was born in Caherlistrane, Co. Galway in 1906 before moving to Kilfian with her family when she was aged seven. She had been married to her husband Pat for 65 years before he passed away. She had 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Sympathy is extended to her sons Noel, P. J. and Seán, daughter Mary, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace .

Kathleen Morrin R.I.P.

Sympathy is extended to Pauline Busby, Glenurla on the death of her sister Kathleen Morrin, (nee O'Horo), in England .   May she rest in peace.

Thomas Gallagher R.I.P.

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Thomas (Tom) Gallagher, Gurteen, Ballina and formerly of Keerglen, Ballycastle who died recently.    May he rest in peace.

Golf Society

All Ballycastle members next outing is to Enniscrone Golf Course again, but this time we will be playing the main course. Date of outing is 30th January. 1st tee is booked for 10.30 so please be there for 10am.

Cycling Club

Turbo training classes for beginners Thursdays at 8pm in Ballycastle Hall. All welcome to come, it's a great way to get fit and great fun. Ring 0863225128 for more details.

Athletic Club

Ballycastle Athletic Club training on Saturday mornings at 10am at the football pitch –junior and senior infants meet at the Community Hall.

Membership for 2016 now due, registration will take place on Saturday January 23rd & 30th before and after training.  New members welcome.

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, wooden bowls, cushions, cot quilts, etc.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, bookmarks, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's Crosses, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.
