Christmas Events

Ballycastle will be a winter wonderland this Christmas as it pulls out all the stops with new Christmas events to make the town an exciting and enjoyable place to visit this coming festive season.
Ballycastle is noted worldwide for the famous Céide Fields. Now we are hoping to run a unique Christmas Celebration for all ages which is crammed with traditional and modern festive events.
The Festival will be made up of an extensive range of free and ticketed events that will be a unique Christmas experience for all the family.

The Events Committee aims to bring local traditional crafts and artisan foods and lots of carol singing.
Children will be a central theme of the festival with a special visit by good old Santa Claus himself to Ballycastle.
The festival is a local initiative from Ballycastle/Belderrig Events Committee and all its members to bring some Christmas spirit into the town over the festive period.

15th December
Santa's coming to town and will meet and greet the children in the Hall, followed by the turning on of the Christmas lights by the Céide Rose.

20th December
Teenage disco in the Hall, times to follow.

21st December
Christmas Craft Fair and choir service taking place in the Shambles, Ballycastle from 5pm - 7pm.
The focus is on attracting local, handcrafted, high quality exhibitors to participate in the event and give them a platform to promote their products and services in a festive environment. The fee for a stand is €10 (stand provided) .

Ballycastle Choir and Mountpalmer Folk Group, Kilfian will entertain us while you sip on hot chocolate and mulled wine and take in the atmosphere of a real traditional Christmas. Admission Free.
