The following are the recipients of awards for 2008 which will be presented at the Annual G.A.A./Parish Dinner Dance on 7th February:

Hall of Fame: Jim Burke, Killeen

Clubman of the Year: Seamus Ormsby

Junior Player of the Year: Fergus Tighe

U-21Player of the Year: Patrick Tighe

Minor Player of the Year: Michael Forde

The Club welcomes Michéal Collins, Lacken as Manager of the Junior Team for 2009.   Michéal played for Mayo in the All Ireland Final v Cork in 1989 and is also selector with Pat Holmes on the Mayo U-21 team.   The club are looking forward to a successful year under his management.

West Coast Vintage Society

The West Coast Vintage Society will hold their first Dinner Dance in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Enniscrone on Saturday 28th February 2009 with seating at 8.30p.m. sharp.  Tickets 25euro on sale from Damian Scott at 086-8768320 and Cecil Jackson at 096-43888.

Yoga

Date for Yoga course has been changed to Wednesday 18th February '09 in Ballycastle Resource Centre. This is now a 7 week course with a Morning Class of gentle yoga from 11.00a.m. to 12.30p.m. including colour, dance and sound and an Evening class for ongoing and beginners from 8.00p.m. – 9.30p.m.

Fee: 70euro for 7 weeks payable at beginning of course.

Tutor: Ishtar, colour therapist, teacher of yoga and dancing the rainbow.

Card Game

Annual G.A.A. Card Game will take place on Wednesday 25th February '09 at 8.30p.m. in Ballycastle Hall.

Bingo

Bingo continues in Ballycastle Community Hall on Monday nights at 8.30p.m.

Mayo North Old Engine & Tractor Club

Grand Draw

Draw has been deferred to Sunday 22nd March and will take place in Ballycastle Hall.

Church Gate Collection

Irish Pilgrimage Trust Church gate collection on Saturday 31st January and Sunday 1st February.   Money raised is to send children with special needs to Lourdes .
