Art Exhibition

The Women's Art Group are launching their Annual Art Exhibition on Saturday 31st May'14 (June weekend Bank Holiday ) at 8.30p.m. Fáilte arís.

The official opening will be launched by Nuala Clarke, Ballinglen Art Foundation member.

The venue is the Resource Centre Art Gallery , Main Street , Ballycastle.

Cheese & Wine reception. Open Invitation. Please support and have an enjoyable night.

‘In Humbert's Footsteps'

Do you think you'd be up to helping to run English troops out of Ballina? Want to help Humbert and his Franco-Irish forces take over the town of Balllina ?
Well now is your chance. On June the 27th , 28th and 29th , as part of the ‘In Humbert's Footsteps' festival, a huge re-enactment of Humbert's invasion of Mayo in 1798 will take place in and around Ballina . The organisers are putting out a call for volunteers to act as pikemen in the recreation and we are looking for a Ballycastle regiment. If you are interested, contact Padraic Mitchell 0872033101.

 

Cycling Club Launch

The official launch of Baile an Chaisil Cycling Club and the Giro de Baile an Chaisil takes place at 9 pm on Saturday 7th June in Katie Mac's bar, Ballycastle. Auction on the night, with prizes ranging from a signed Connacht Jersey to Flights to London and Nights in Top Hotels. Everyone Welcome

Ballycastle 10k Coastal Challenge road race/fun run takes place this year on 28th June and will introduce a 6k fun run/walk route in addition to the 10k.

Giro de Baile an Chaisil

Calling all cyclists, dust down the bikes as the Giro de Baile an Chaisil takes place on Sunday August 3rd at 10:30am.

Hosted by Baile an Chaisil Cycling Club, the Giro follows a wonderfully scenic course from Ballycastle Village right along the North Mayo Coast cycling right into the heart of Erris. 3 routes to choose from: 140km, 60km and 10km family route so you have plenty of time to get pedalling and getting in shape.
