Deaths

Sympathy is extended to Michael and Bridie Tomas (Ballyglass) on the sudden death of their son Michael Edward on Thursday last. Sympathy is also extended to his sister Karen, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

 

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Padraig Groarke, Swinford (Nephew of Anne Madden, Sea Road) who died on Sunday night last.

 

May they both rest in peace.

Culture Night at Ballinglen

Culture Night opens at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation on Friday 23rd September between 6.00p.m. and 9.00p.m. with an exhibition of work by Eddie Kennedy “Things seen merge with things imagined. Kennedy embraces abstraction for its capacity to allow an open and expansive arena in which to explore the interiority of voice”. Eddie Kennedy is represented by J. Cacciola Gallery, New York and Hillsboro Fine Art, Dublin.

 

Other attractions on the night: Nuala Clarke (Dublin resident in New York) and Diane Henshaw (Fermanagh) have kindly agreed to an open studio where you can see their work in progress. International Printmaker Rachelle Puryear (American resident in Sweden) is leading a print demonstration in our Print Workshop and will also have work on display. Refreshments served. Do come and join us and celebrate Mayo Culture Night – Ballycastle style!
