Céide Fields Events for Heritage Week

The Céide Fields Visitor Centre invites everybody, young and old, to celebrate National Heritage Week with them.   Enjoy a free concert on Friday August 31st at 2.00p.m.   Performing will be the renowned flute and guitar duo of Aisling Agnew and Matthew McAllister, who will play a wide range of beautiful music from around the globe as featured on their stunning debut album, Recital.

You are also most welcome to come and visit the Céide Fields with free admission and guided tours for all the family on their Open Day on Sunday September 2nd .   

 

School Re-Opening

St. Patrick's College, Lacken Cross students and teachers begin their school year on Monday next in the VEC (Old Convent) Building in Ballycastle.   The school reopens for students as follows:

Monday 27th :   1st Years     9.10a.m. – 12.30p.m.

Tuesday 28th :   2nd & 4th Years    9.10a.m.   – 12.30p.m.

Thursday 30th :   1st , 3rd & 5th Years   9.10a.m. – 12.30p.m.

Art Exhibition

Ballycastle Women's Art Group Annual Art Exhibition in the Resource Centre Gallery, Ballycastle will remain open until the end of August during craft shop opening times:  Monday – Friday 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m.

 

Death

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Margorie O'Donoghue, Cork who died tragically last week (mother of Deirdre Kelly and mother-in-law of Michael Kelly, Doonfeeney).
