Best Wishes

Best wishes to Nikki Sweeney who is opening her new business ‘Céide Craft Stack' (situated in the Resource Centre, Main Street , Ballycastle) this coming Friday (24th July) at 10.00a.m.

 

Ceide Fields

The Céide Fields neolithic site is now open to visitors but the visitor centre, café and toilets remain closed. There is no charge and the very knowledgeable Guide staff are on site to answer any questions and provide directions.

 

Churches reopen

St. Bridget's Church, Ballycastle reopened for public Masses this week.

Mass intentions are:

Wednesday 11.00a.m .: Maureen (1st Anniversary) & Peter Sweeney, Killeen;

Michael Scott (Anniversary); Martin McDonnell (late of Glenamoy, who died in England)

Saturday (25th July) 7.00p.m.: Jack (Anniversary), Kathleen & Eamon Maughan

Sunday (26th July) 11.30a.m.: Deceased Madden & Keane Families

 

Masses for the present will be on Wednesdays and weekends.

 

St. Teresa's Church, Belderrig reopens on Sunday 26th July.

10.00a.m.: People of the Parish

 

Mass on Downpatrick Head, which usually takes place on the last weekend of July, has been cancelled for this year.

 

St. Bridget's Church is open daily for anyone who wishes to visit for quiet prayer.

 

During the week, please use the side door on the east side (the door where the wheelchair parking is allocated) as the other doors will remain closed and will only open for weekend Masses.

 

First Communion

The First Holy Communion Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 10th October at 12.00noon.

There will be seven children in the class.

Ballycastle GAA Club held their 50/50 Draw on Sunday 19th July.

Ballycastle Gym

Ballycastle Community Hall Gym reopened on Monday 13th July. All sessions must be pre booked.

Garda in attendance
