Coast Coffee Fundraiser

Thank you very much to all who supported Coast Coffee Fundraiser, in support of

Western Care Association, on Sunday last. Amount raised €2,109.

Thanks also to Mary's Cottage Kitchen for donating scones and jam and to

Darren McDonnell for donating milk and cream.

Raffle winners were: Séan O'Grady (Homeland Voucher) and Margaret Burke (Box of chocolates and Bottle of wine).

 

Congratulations

Congratulations to Claire Tighe who was elected as a councillor for Labour following the Ealing

by-election in west London recently. Claire's father Martin Tighe is from Kilbride, Ballycastle while Claire's mum passed away a number of years ago. Born in Ealing, Claire grew up in the Ballina area and attended St. Mary's Secondary School, Ballina. Claire managed to increase Labour's vote share and majority and secured the best ever result for Labour in the Hobbayne Ward.

Ballinglen Museum of Art

An exhibition in The Ballinglen Museum of Art of 'Stoney Road Press: Twenty Years – A Survey'.

Richard Gorman, Michael Canning, Eilis O'Connell, Kathy Prendergast,Bill Rock, John Fitzsimons, 

Kelvin Mann, Leah Hewson, Felicity Clear, Brian O'Doherty, Dorothy Cross, Amelia Stein, 

Mick O'Dea. 

Each of these artists has an international following and exhibition history including art fairs in London, Miami, New York, Dublin.

Céide Fields

The Céide Fields outdoor site is open to the public, every day free of charge from 10a.m. to 5pm.

The construction work on the exciting all new exhibitions in the Visitor Centre has restarted so the café and toilets will not be available.
