Coffee Fundraiser
Thank
you very much to all who supported Coast Coffee Fundraiser,
in support of
Western
Care Association, on Sunday last. Amount raised €2,109.
Thanks
also to Mary's Cottage Kitchen for donating scones and jam
and to
Darren
McDonnell for donating milk and cream.
Raffle
winners were: Séan O'Grady (Homeland Voucher)
and Margaret Burke (Box of chocolates and Bottle of wine).

Congratulations
to Claire Tighe who was elected as a councillor for Labour
following the Ealing
by-election
in west London recently. Claire's father Martin Tighe is from
Kilbride, Ballycastle while Claire's mum passed away a number
of years ago. Born in Ealing, Claire grew up in the Ballina
area and attended St. Mary's Secondary School, Ballina. Claire
managed to increase Labour's vote share and majority and secured
the best ever result for Labour in the Hobbayne Ward.
