Congratulations to Tommy Lyons and   Ballina Stephenites team on winning the All-Ireland Club Football Final   against Portlaoise on St. Patrick's Day and to Liam Brady on receiving the A.I.B. Man of the Match award.  

Final Score:   Ballina Stephenites: 1 – 12;    Portlaoise: 2 – 8.

 

Deaths

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Patrick Doherty, Shanaghy, Belmullet ( cousin of Kathleen McDonnell, Upper Main Street ) who died suddenly last week.

 

Sympathy is also extended to the family, relatives and friends of Tom Rafter, Killala Road, Ballina who died suddenly on Sunday 20th.  Tom was a teacher in Stella Maris Secondary School Ballycastle for a number of years and is fondly remembered by all his past pupils.

Congratulations to Shane Gaughan, Rathoonagh, Ballycastle who celebrated his 21 st Birthday on Saturday last.

Congratulations to Mary & Gerry McDonnell, Behy on the birth of their baby daughter who was christened in St. Brigid's Church Ballycastle on Saturday 19 th .
