Gallery -Mayo Arts Collaborative 2016
You
are invited to attend the Opening of an Exhibition by Michelle
Browne based on 1916 Suffragette Kathleen Lynn "Insider
on the Outside" who was born in Mullaghfarry, Killala.
Given Lynn 's lifelong political activism, this Exhibition
focuses attention on contemporary women who followed Lynn
's footsteps and moved from the family home to the political
arena. Five venues across the County will host

enjoy this wonderful Exhibition celebrating the importance
of this Mayo woman and other women involved in the 1916 struggle

talk by Dr Maureen Langan-Egan author of "Women in Mayo"
1851-1881.
Ballinglen
will host a day of story-telling in celebration of 1916 and
the huge contribution of women during that time. Do
come along and enjoy an open discussion, and exchange stories
in relation to 1916.

Deaths
The
deaths occurred last week of Josie & Johnny Noone, Ballinglen,
Ballycastle. Josie died on Monday 14th and her husband Johnny
died on Wednesday 16th . Sympathy is extended to their daughters
Kathleen McMorrow (Ballinglen), Mary, Martina, Fiona and Sarah,
sons John James, Tom, Michael and Brendan, Josie's brothers
and sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family,
relatives and friends.

be held in The Foxford Sports & Leisure Centre on Tuesday
April 5th 2016 from 7pm 10pm. People attending this
training will need to have basic computer skills and the goal
is to be able to set up a Facebook page for community groups.
This training is free and is funded under the Social Inclusion
& Community Activation Programme. As numbers are
limited early booking is important. I will only
take one person from each group at the moment but may be able
to take more nearer the time. To book your place contact me
