Halloween Activities

Friday 25th : Halloween Fancy Dress Quiz in Healys

 

Wednesday 30th : Fancy Dress Teen's Disco in the Hall 9 – 11p.m. Admission €6. For anyone who comes in Fancy Dress Admission €4. Prize for best costume.

 

Thursday 31st : Children's Halloween games in the Shambles 5 – 7p.m., scary story telling, scary movie, music, scary ghosts in attendance, followed by party. Admission €2.

 

The highlight of the Halloween activities takes place in Katie Macs on Halloween night. Fancy dress a must (but not essential) . Free punch for anyone who dresses up. Some hilarious adult Halloween games have been planned. Prizes for the best male/female costume. Free admission. Commencing at 9.00p.m.

Christmas Fair

Ballycastle's Annual Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November with lots of new items this year. Any craft workers who would like to book a table can contact 086-8492070.

Raffle for Hamper (includes Xmas cake, pudding, wine x2, box biscuits, chocolates and lots more) and other prizes. Tickets for sale in local businesses. €2 per line.

 

Anniversary of Lacken Drowning Disaster

On 28th October 1927, nine men from Lacken lost their lives in a sudden storm. Eight of the men were on board ‘The Rose of Lacken' and their bodies were never recovered. Mass in memory of the drowned will be commemorated at Lacken Pier on Sunday 27th October at 3pm. All are welcome to come and take time to honour those lost – ‘gone but never forgotten'.

 

Fashion Show

‘Kiddies Korner' Fashion Show will take place on 22nd November iin the Community Hall.

 

Ballinglen Arts Foundation

The Ballinglen Arts Foundation, Main Street , Ballycastle are pleased to present “A Drawing for Everything” an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Nuala Clarke. The exhibition continues until December 20th.  Nuala, a returning fellow to Ballinglen, lives in Killala.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's crosses and more. Also, Paintings by local artists, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.
