Wedding

Congratulations and best wishes for the future to Erin McAndrew, Ballycastle and Darren Robinson, Killala who were married in St. Bridget's Church, Ballycastle on Saturday last.

Mayo Stages Rally

The 2016 Mayo Stages Rally will take place on Sunday March 6th around the Killala/Lacken/Ballycastle/Kilfian/Cooneal areas. This will involve a number of road restrictions as listed in the Public Notices Section in the Western People. There will be an increase in traffic in the area over the weekend 5th and 6th March.   Should you have any concerns, please contact David on 087-9176235.

 

A Rally Show will take place on the evening of Saturday 5th March in Ballina and everyone is welcome to come along. The Mayo and District Motorsport Club would like to thank all residents for their co-operation in running the event.

Cycling

Golf Society

Next outing is to Strandhill Golf Club on 5th March. 1st tee is at 11am so please be there for 10.30am. For more information contact David Alexander on 0877965080.

Our annual away outing this year is to Salthill, staying at the Clybaun Hotel and playing Barna Golf Course on 18th June and possibly Tuam Golf Course on the way down (to be decided).  Any one interested in going please contact Gerry Henry on 0879391689 for more information. Opening times for the Gymnasium in Ballycastle Community Hall are:

Monday – Friday 9.00a.m. – 1.00p.m. and 5.00p.m. – 9.00p.m.

Saturday 10.00a.m. – 1.30p.m.

Prices: €5 per visit, €20 per month, €50 for 3 months or €120 per year.

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, wooden bowls, cushions, cot quilts, etc.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, bookmarks, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's Crosses, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.
