‘The Gathering' Festival


Ballycastle/Belderrig Festival takes place from Thursday 1st to Saturday 10th August.

  • Street Parade of Lights followed by The Shambles Hooley with BBQ and Music by Flat Out (The Shambles)

Flower Festival

Flower Festival in St. John's Church on Sunday 4th & Monday 5th August from 12.00noon - 5.00p.m.  Even Song on Sunday at 5.00p.m. All welcome.

Outdoor Mass


Mass will be celebrated on Downpatrick Head on Sunday 28th July at 11.30a.m. (weather permitting).

Sunday 11th August: Belderrig Cemetery at 3.00p.m. Doonfeeney Cemetery at 5.00p.m.

Sunday 18th August: Kilbride Cemetery at 6.00p.m.

As and from Monday 29th July, Bingo in Ballycastle Community Hall will commence at 8.30p.m .


Golf Society

Next outing is changed to Claremorris Golf Club on 27 .07. 13. 1 st tee at 10.30am.

Outing to Tubbercurry will now take place on 31st August '13.



Membership may still be given to committee members. Family membership €40; Adult €25; Youth €10; OAP €10; Student €10. Membership cards will be available from club officers.

Water Safety

Water Safety week at Lacken Pier commencing Monday 29th July at 3.00p.m. Contact Anne Healy 096-43180.


Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, candles, fridge magnets, wooden bowls, cushions etc.

Also, Paintings by local artists, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.


Other Facilities available :

Tourist Information, Fax, Laminating, Photocopying, Typing.


Opening Hours:

Monday – Friday 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m. (closed for lunch 1 – 2.00p.m.)

Shop will also be open on Saturdays from 11.00a.m. – 4.00p.m. for July and August.


Art Exhibition

Ballycastle Art Group Annual Art Exhibition ‘Fáilte' will remain open Monday – Friday 10.00a.m. – the Resource Centre Gallery, Ballycastle. www.ballycastletourism/



Library is located in the VEC Building (former Secondary School) and is open on Wednesdays from 9.30a.m. – 4.00p.m.


Outdoor Gym

The new outdoor fitness gym in Suífinn Way Estate is open to anybody over the age of 50. The equipment is clearly marked with instructions on how to use each individual piece.
