Gold Medal Winner

Congratulations to Laura McAndrew, Heathfield, Ballycastle who won Gold in Continuous Sparring

U-17, in the W.O.M.A.A. World Martial Games X1 which were held in Killarney on 20th , 21st and 22nd August. Laura also won Bronze in Intermediate Forms (Traditional Kata).

 

Laura is a member of Moy Valley Freestyle Martial Arts School and the school collected a number of gold, silver and bronze over the weekend.

 

Having qualified nationally for IMAF World Open Championships being held in Poland on 15th , 16th and 17th October, Coach Master Harry Thompson will travel with 11 of his students to compete. The school is back in training this week in preparation. We wish them well.

Tidy Towns

The committee wish to thank all who supported the annual collection, also those who helped with the collection. Amount collected - €650.

 

Cake Sale

Thank you to everyone who supported St. John's Cake Sale on Saturday14th August, to those who gave donations, gifts, vouchers, baked cakes, gave preserves etc. ‘Guess the weight of the cake' was won by Mary Jackson, Killerduff. Amount raised was €1,350 euro.
