Baile an Chaisil CC

Christmas Cycle:

The Ballycastle Cycling Club raised €600 for the maintenance of St. John's Hall on their annual Christmas cycle. Thanks to all who helped and those who cycled on the day.

 

First outing:

First outing of the year is the ‘Saddle up for Epilepsy' on the 25th February in Castlebar. Cycling Ireland membership must be paid before this date. Ballycastle Cycling Club membership is free this year.

 

Turbo Training:

Club turbo training continues on Wednesdays at 8.00pm in the Hall. All welcome.

Giro de Baile 2017

The Giro de Baile will take place this year on Sunday 6th August (Bank Holiday Weekend) at 9.00.am. from Main Street , Ballycastle.

Now in its fourth year, this year's event is hosted by Baile an Chaisil Cycling Club. The Giro follows a wonderfully scenic course from Ballycastle village right along the North Mayo Coast , cycling right into the heart of Erris. The ride is not a race, it's a chance to enjoy a challenge with like minded people, with spectacular views throughout the routes.

There is a choice of 3 routes - 146km, 104km or 60km.

Early bird registration €30; Day registration €45. Resigration on the day from 8.00a.m.

Golf Society

The away trip this year is to Esker Hills in Tullamore. We're looking at the weekend of 23rd /24th June. Bingo in the Community Hall is on Monday 23rd January at 8.30p.m. Guaranteed Jackpot of €300.

Ballycastle Gymnasium special offer for one year's membership, €100 to register before 31st January.

Opening times for the Gymnasium in Ballycastle Community Hall are:

Monday – Friday 9.00a.m. – 1.00p.m. and 5.00p.m. – 9.00p.m.

Saturday 10.00a.m. – 1.30p.m.

Prices: €5 per visit, €20 per month, €50 for 3 months or €120 per year.

Vintage Society

West Coast Vintage Society Road Run on Sunday 12th February in memory of Aidan Tighe and Peter Sweeney. Registration at 11.00a.m. in the Resource Centre, Ballycastle. All monies raised going to the Irish Cancer Society. Open to all modes of transport. Refreshments after in Phil Healys.

 

Garda in attendance

Garda will attend at Ballycastle Community Hall from 2 – 3pm on the 1st Wednesday of every month.

 

Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, wooden bowls, cushions, cot quilts, etc.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, bookmarks, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's Crosses, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.
