Deaths

The death has occurred of Eamon Maughan, Middlesex , England and formerly of Cappagh, Ballycastle. Sympathy is extended to his wife Mary, son David, daughter Karen, his brothers Michael and Noel, sisters Myra and Sandra, his aunt, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mass in St Joseph 's Church, Harrow Weald, Middlesex on Friday 28th April at10 am.

Reposing in Lynn 's funeral home, Killala on Saturday 29th from 5.30 p.m. with removal at 7.30p.m. to his residence in Cappagh.

Mass in St Bridget's Church, Ballycastle on Sunday 30th April at 1.30pm, followed by burial in Ballycastle cemetery.

Sympathy is extended to Rita McLucas on the death of her brother Padriag Cummins, Leeds and Kilfian who died recently.

May they rest in peace.

G.A.A. News

All at Ballycastle GAA wish to extend their deepest sympathy to family and friends on the death of Eamon Maughan. Eamon played on the 1981 North Mayo Junior Champions team and sadly passed away last Thursday. He was always interested in news from home and particularly Ballycastle GAA and was one of the proudest men when Ballycastle won the junior crown in 2015.

Celebrating 20 years in business – Mary's Cottage Kitchen

Wishing Mary's Cottage Kitchen many congratulations on their 20th year in business. Mary would like to thank all her loyal customers for their continued support and on Friday the 28th April, Mary would like to invite you to join her in a celebration and will be serving some refreshments from 12 onwards to celebrate the occasion.  Live music with Maria Ruane and friends between 2 - 4pm.  Mary is now also serving Sunday lunch every week between 12.30 and 3pm and late opening Friday and Saturday until 8pm serving dinner. We wish Mary continued success with her business.

Baile an Chaisil CC

Weekend away:

Ballycastle Cycling Club weekend away is planned for September 9 th in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim to take part in the Giants Causeway coast sportive 57km, 126km and 182km. Any non club member who would like to come along will be made more than welcome. Contact Máirtin Flannery for more details.

The Giro de Baile will take place this year on Sunday 6th August (Bank Holiday Weekend) at 9.00.am. from Main Street , Ballycastle.

Now in its fourth year, this year's event is hosted by Baile an Chaisil Cycling Club.

There is a choice of 3 routes - 146km, 104km or 60km.
