Heritage Week at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation
Ballinglen
will hold a workshop on Saturday 29th August from
2.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m for children under 12 exploring farming
heritage in response to the Exhibition The Mart and Other
Paintings by Cora O'Brien under the guidance of local artist
Nuala Clarke. Materials will be provided and each child
will leave with a piece of work.

Fields
As
part of National Heritage Week, Céide Fields are having
a day of free admission on Sunday August 30th. In addition
to our usual guided tours we will have exhibitions, activities
and competitions for all the family from 11am to 5pm.
Tradition
of turf cutting
On
Friday August 28th there will be a free demonstration of turf
cutting accompanied by a talk on the associated traditions
and culture of the bog, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. at Céide
Fields.
Lacken
Trail
For
National Heritage Week there will be a guided walk of the
Lacken Trail including a visit to Rathlackan Court Tomb and
the Gazebo. Meet in Lacken Church carpark, Thursday 27th August
at 2pm. Walk is 8km and will take 4 hrs. For information call

Rince Ui Mhurchu offers quality Irish dance lessons to students
from beginner level to championship. All students are encouraged
to compete in competition while also gaining experience from
team building in both performing and figure dancing. The option
is also available to participate in our shows throughout the

take place on Monday and Thursday evenings in St John's Hall,
