What a fantastic achievement, gives hope to clubs like Ballycastle but a special congratulations to one of our "own" Stephen Tighe who played Midfield - son of Noel Tighe, Muingrevagh and grandson of

Carmel Tighe - from all at Ballycastle GAA.

 

Best of luck to Shane Grier, Martin Sweeney, Shane Maughan, Fionnan Caulfield and Declan Caulfield (Coach) who represent Ballycastle and Mayo in the All- Ireland Scór Na Nóg in Kerry.

 

Congratulations to the Hoban brothers, Main Street who won the Hall of Fame award this year, also to Micheal Forde Junior 'A' Player of the Year and Paul Whelan Junior 'B' Player of the Year.

 

Ballycastle GAA Club will hold a registration evening on Friday, February 5th from 7:30pm in Ballycastle Community Hall. It's important that all players including underage players are registered as training will commence in the coming weeks.
Anyone who avails of this opportunity to register, or registers before the night, will automatically be entered into a draw for a Football or Free Club Membership for the year. Remember under no circumstances will Tickets for Mayo Matches be given to non-members.

Golf Society

 

All Ballycastle members next outing is to Enniscrone Golf Course again, but this time we will be playing the main course. Date of outing is 30th January. 1st tee is booked for 10.30 so please be there for 10am.

Cycling Club

Turbo training classes for beginners Thursdays at 8pm in Ballycastle Hall. All welcome to come, it's a great way to get fit and great fun. Ring 0863225128 for more details.

Ballycastle Athletic Club training on Saturday mornings at 10am at the football pitch –junior and senior infants meet at the Community Hall.

Opening times for the Gymnasium in Ballycastle Community Hall are:

Monday – Friday 9.00a.m. – 1.00p.m. and 5.00p.m. – 9.00p.m.

Saturday 10.00a.m. – 1.30p.m.

Prices: €5 per visit, €20 per month, €50 for 3 months or €120 per year.

 

Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, wooden bowls, cushions, cot quilts, etc.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, bookmarks, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's Crosses, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.
