Healyfest
Music Festival
The annual Healyfest Music Festival takes place again this
upcoming Bank Holiday weekend in Healy's Pub, Ballycastle.
This year promises to be even bigger and better than ever
before with music to cater for everyone's taste spread across
three days.
Friday night sees the regular traditional music sessiun taking
place in the pub.
Saturday evening begins at 7 p.m. with a BBQ in aid of the
Irish Kidney Association along with live bands until late.
As usual, Sunday is the main day with live bands starting
at 2 p.m. until late, featuring bands from Ballycastle and
all over Ireland .
There are free camping facilities available. General admission
charge of €10 on Sunday, children free. Further information

Exhibition
The
official opening of the Ballycastle Art Group Annual Art Exhibition,
entitled “Brushstrokes”, will take place in the Resource Centre
Art Gallery on Saturday July 30th at 8.30p.m. A cheese and
wine reception will follow. Please join us for a great social
evening. Fáilte roimh cath.
The
artists taking part this year are: Mary Delaney, Cathy Doors,
Marion Galt, Margaret Herbert, Margaret Kelly, Rita Langan,
Florrie McBrien, Ellen Stagg, Mauretti Bn Uí Fhlathartha
and Sue Upton.
The
Exhibition will be open over the Bank Holiday weekend from
12.00noon – 4.00p.m. and thereafter from 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m.
Monday to Friday until September 1 st 2011. Artworks are constantly
on display in the Art Gallery upstairs in the Resource Centre,
so please drop in to the Gallery when visiting Ballycastle.
The
Craft Shop is also open on the night of the Exhibition.
