The ‘Tom Langan' Tournament will be played on Sunday 1st August.   Baile an Chaisil are to play Kilfian at 11.00a.m. Lacken play Enniscrone at 12.00noon.  The final will take place at 1.30pm .

‘Don Baker' for Healyfest

The annual Healyfest Music Festival will take place on Saturday 31st July and

Sunday 1st August in Healy's Pub.  There will be an open mic night on Saturday night from 9 p.m. onwards where everyone is welcome to come along and play or sing.

Sunday sees the action taking place on the main stage from 1 p.m. til late with a strong line up of bands from the locality and nationwide - including the internationally renowned Don Baker, who makes his first appearance at the Festival on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Other bands on the line up include The Spirits, The Voyeurs, The Gandhi's, Lambda, The Reelists, The Alterboys and many more. Admission is €10, Children free.

Art Exhibition

Ballycastle Women's Art Group Annual Art Exhibition ‘Beyond Horizons' will take place on Saturday next, 31st July, in the Resource Centre, Ballycastle. Official opening, with cheese and wine, at 8.30p.m. by Tony D'Arcy. All welcome. Exhibition will open on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd August from

12.00noon – 4.00p.m. and will remain open Monday – Friday from 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m.

Deaths

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Pat Carey who died recently in England (brother of Bridie Tighe, Larragon).

The death occurred on Monday last of Evelyn Killeen (nee McDonnell), Kilcummin.

Sympathy is extended to her husband James, sons Michael (Doonadoba) , John and Eamonn, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Sympathy is also extended to the family, relatives and friends of Margaret Murphy who died in Glasgow (daughter of Kathleen and Tommy Murphy and sister of Jackie, late of Ballymachugh).
