Applied
Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
A
two day ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
course will
be held in Ballycastle Community Hall on (Wednesday and Thursday)
19th and
20th September. This practical first aid for suicide course,
which is free
of charge, is organized by HSE Suicide Prevention Department
with Iorras Le
Chéile. It is open to everyone over the age of 18 and
will be of particular
benefit to parents and those who work with members of the
public. This
includes those in service industries, clergy, care workers,
guards, and
those working with statutory and voluntary groups. Participants
must be able
to complete the two full days from 9am to 5pm. Places are
limited and must
be booked in advance by telephoning Rose Conway-Walsh on 097
20828.
