Sympathy

The death has occurred of Ruairí McDonnell (age 9), Alexandra Walk, Clane, Co. Kildare peacefully at his home after a long illness. Predeceased by his grandfather Martin (Pav) McDonnell.

Sympathy is extended to his parents Ruth and Martin McDonnell (Main Street, Ballycastle),

his sister Ciara, brothers Tomás and Fionn, grandparents Kathleen McDonnell (Ballycastle),

Eileen & Eugene, uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Brian Earley, formerly of Laragon, Ballycastle, who has died in Australia (Brother of Desmond Earley, Laragon).

Classes

The all new Céide Fields Centre has reopened to the public.

Open daily from 10.00a.m. – 6.00p.m. (last admission 5.15p.m.)

Community Hall

Ballycastle Community Hall AGM took place on Monday 13th and all directors resigned from their posts. No new members were present to take their place. Emergency meeting is now being called for Monday 11th July. If no new members are willing to take over on the 11th July, unfortunately Ballycastle Community Hall will close on Tuesday 12th July. We hope to see you on the night where hopefully a new committee can be formed to prevent closure.

Céide Coast Half Marathon & 10k

The Céide Coast Half Marathon will be held in Ballycastle on 8th October 2022.

This race will be run on the day in conjunction with the 10k Coastal Challenge which is now in its 7th successful year.
