New Christmas Lights

In order for Ballycastle to be brightly lit this Christmas new LED Christmas lights are going to be installed both sides of the main street. The Development Company will be running a Church Gate collection on 9th and 10th December to help fund the €4,500 cost involved. Your support would be appreciated on those dates, or you can drop a donation into Siopa Suifinn.

Ballinglen Arts Foundation

25th Anniversary - Children's Open Day at The Ballinglen Arts Foundation.

"Our World Our Lives" December 2nd: 2pm - 5pm

Exhibition of prints made by 450 school children who visited Ballinglen in 2017.

An opportunity for the children to come back with their families and see the wonderful work they made on display in the Gallery.

Fun Activities: Christmas Decoration Making, Hot Chocolate, Visit with the Artists in their Studios, Christmas Carols.

Ballycastle Christmas Experience

On Saturday 16th December Ballycastle gets into the festive spirit with our annual “Ballycastle Christmas Experience”.   Organised by BEO (Ballycastle Events Organisation). 

This celebration of the spirit of Christmas will be held in the stunning setting of “The Shambles”

from 5pm-7pm.

This Christmas experience will feature Santa and Mrs Claus in their grotto, and the elves busy at work in their workshop ahead of the big day. There will also be a living crib with real animals, with live music and other entertainment also being provided. The very best of festive food and drink will also be on offer for all the family to enjoy.

This event is Free. Any Donation to the Donation Box would be appreciated

Ballycastle Christmas Cycle

Baile an Chaisil Cycling Club 5th annual Christmas cycle on New Year's Day at 12noon. Registration in Healy's bar at 11.30a.m. 36km and 12km family cycle with refreshments after in Healy's.

This year we will be cycling in memory of our friend and former club member Patrick McHale.

Collette and her family have chosen Head Way Ireland as this year's charity.

 

Winter spinning classes will commence on Wednesday 22nd in St Johns Hall, Ballycastle at 8pm. Beginners and non club members welcome.

Tour some of the scenic areas in North Mayo with bicycle hire from Ballycastle bike hire. Bikes provided are high quality with a wide selection to match all ages and abilities (Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, Hybrid, Children's Bikes) and can be rented from short to long term use.
