Giro
de Baile
The
Giro de Baile cycling event takes place on Sunday 6th August
2017 at 10am from Ballycastle Village .
The
Giro de Baile routes take in the towns of Ballycastle, Lacken,
Killala, Crossmolina, Moygownagh, Bellacorick, Bangor , Barnatra,
Pullathomas, Cornboy, Porturlin, Belderrig and its purpose
is to show off beautiful North Mayo.
Please
be patient with cyclists - they are vulnerable road users
and appreciate your being mindful of their safety. They may
look confident, but underneath all that lycra, there's a good
chance they may be at least a little nervous, particularly
if there is heavy traffic, and at busy intersections.
Expect
bikes on all roads and at all intersections and roundabouts
in North Mayo from 10am to 6pm on Sunday 6th. We thank you
for your cooperation and we hope you have a safe and enjoyable
Bank Holiday weekend.
Anyone
interested in helping out on the day of the Giro de Baile
with a bit of stewarding, food prep, pre race set up and demobilisation
please feel free to join us.
It
is all for a good cause and is an enjoyable way to spend your
free time organising a worthwhile event with the community
and a great bunch of people. Please contact Mairtín
086-3225128 if you can spare a few hours on the day.
We
would also like to inform people of a little disturbance around
the hall and village on the 6th August and we appreciate your
patience in this matter.
