Giro de Baile an Chaisil

"GIRO DE BAILE" North Mayo Cycle Tour run by Baile An Chaisil Cycling Club will take place on Sunday 3rd August commencing at 10.30a.m.  A large number of cyclists will be in the town and passing through the Ballycastle area throughout the day - starting from 9.00 a.m. onwards.  Road users are advised to take due care.  Thank you for your co-operation in facilitating this tour.  Cyclists interested in taking part in the 130km or 60km Routes and 10km family cycle can register at the Parish Hall in Ballycastle on Sunday morning from 9a.m. or alternatively you can Register on-line at  cyclingireland.ie . Exhibition - Ballinglen Gallery

An Exhibition by Donald Teskey - "Atlantic Paintings" will take place at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation with the official opening at 8.30 p.m. on Saturday 9th August.  He is one of the best-known landscape painters of his generation.  This is a wonderful exhibition of paintings, many capturing Ballycastle and the surrounding area.  Refreshments served and everyone  welcome. Rugby Scholarship

Teresa McDonnell, Main Street , Ballycastle is currently celebrating the achievement of her grandson James McDonnell who has received a rugby scholarship with Wigan Warriors rugby league club.  

James who is 14yrs old lives in Wigan , England with parents Joy and Seamus McDonnell and sister Alicia. He plays for Wigan St Judes ARLFC who are the current North West Counties u14's Champions (James is pictured with the cup earlier last month).

 

Tractor Run

Tractor Run, organised by West Coast Vintage Society, will take place on Saturday 9th August in aid of ‘Kiddies Korner' Playschool.

Registration will take place at 5.00p.m. in Ballycastle Resource Centre where refreshments will be served.

Run will depart at 5.30p.m. and return at 7.00p.m. All types of vehicles welcome. €10 per vehicle.
