Céide Macra na Feirme

Céide Macra na Feirme is the local branch of Macra, the national voice of young farmers and rural youth between the ages of 17 and 35 in Ireland . Currently, the club has 17 members, encompassing Ballycastle, Lacken, Kilfian, Belderrig and Glenamoy.

Céide Macra is in its first year of existence, but is still one of the most active clubs in the region. The start of the club was marked by a fundraising table quiz in Healy's Bar, Ballycastle, which was a massive success in terms of fundraising and attracting new members. Since then we have carried on finely, embracing Macra's key points of agriculture, sport, community involvement, social life and travel.

For anyone wishing to join Macra, incentives are keen. With discounts from FBD, Bus Eireann and Xtra Vision to name but a few of the perks of club membership. Membership costs just 20euro a year, and guarantees a plethora of social and sporting activities over the coming year. It also offers the chance to meet Macra members from around the country, as travel between clubs is strongly encouraged in Macra.

Find us on Facebook if you would like to find out more, just search for Céide Macra na Feirme.

Céide Macra would like to thank the local community for their ongoing support in funding and encouraging the club, and would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy Christmas.
