Best wishes to Michéal Forde who is back on the Mayo senior panel and who came on as a sub on Sunday last in the game against Monaghan. Great to see a Ballycastle player back on the Mayo panel.

The Mayo Stages Rally

The Mayo Stages Rally will take place on Sunday March 8th around the Ballycastle area. This will involve a number of road restrictions as listed in the Public Notices Section in the Western People. There will be an increase in traffic in the area over the weekend 7th and 8th March. Should you have any concerns, please contact Padraic on 087-2497936. A Rally Show will take place on Saturday evening in Ballina and everyone is welcome to come along. The Mayo and District Motorsport Club would like to thank all residents for their co-operation in running the event.

 

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Ballycastle St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Tuesday March 17th. It will start at the Community Hall after 11.30a.m. Mass. For more information please ring Maura at 086 3571231.

Cycling Club

Thanks to all Baile an Chaisil cycling club members who marshalled in Kilfian, Ballycastle, Belderrig and Lacken on Sunday last. The club would especially like to thank Tommy Flannery, Mickey Moyles, Ashling Clarke, Michelle McGinty, Carmel McGinty, Liam O'Toole, Declan Blaine and his daughter – as always, you were there to help the club out. The riders who came from all over Ireland were very impressed on how safe they felt on the roads. Thank you.
