New Gym

Work has commenced on setting up a gym in the Community Hall and it is hoped this will be ready for use by September.

Ballycastle/Belderrig Development Company AGM on Wednesday 19th June at 9.00p.m. in the resource Centre. Community Development projects are currently being set up and we would ask that anyone interested in being part of the team please attend. New members very welcome.

Membership may still be given to committee members. Family membership €40; Adult €25; Youth €10; OAP €10; Student €10. Membership cards will be available from club officers.

Belderrig Bronzeman

Belderrig Bronzeman competition takes place on Saturday 3rd August 2013. Swim>Cycle>Run. The main Bronzeman Race for men and women is a 100m swim followed by a 4km cycle and 4km run.

Men's Race starts at 2.00p.m.

Ladies Race and Relay starts at 2.30p.m.

 

Junior Bronzeman and Mini Bronzeman Races on the day also.

Junior Bronzeman for children 10 – 15yrs starts at 1.00p.m.

Mini Bronzeman for children 5 – 9yrs starts at 4.00p.m.

 

Registration at the shore 12.00noon – 1.00p.m.

 

If you can't take part in the race, take part in supporting the athletes and enjoying yourself at our community event. Food and beverages for sale, served in the tent by the shore.

Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, candles, fridge magnets, wooden bowls, cushions etc.

Also, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.

Paintings by local artists are on display in the Art Gallery, upstairs in the Resource Centre.

Other Facilities available :

Tourist Information, Fax, Laminating, Photocopying, Typing.

Opening Hours: Monday – Friday 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m. (closed for lunch 1 – 2.00p.m.)

 

Classes

Art Class on Mondays at 7.00p.m. in Suífinn Way Centre.

 

Set Dancing class on Wednesdays at 9pm. in St. John's Hall.

 

Music classes in St John's Hall on Saturdays 11.00a.m. – 12.30p.m..

 

Irish Dancing classes continue every Monday and Thursday, in St John's Hall, Ballycastle from 5pm till 6.30pm. New members are always welcome. Children can start from age 3 up.

 

Library

Library is now located in the VEC Building (former Secondary School) and is open on Wednesdays from 9.30a.m. – 4.00p.m.

 

Outdoor Gym

The new outdoor fitness gym in Suífinn Way Estate is open to anybody over the age of 50. The equipment is clearly marked with instructions on how to use each individual piece.
