Congratulations to Ballycastle who won the Division 5 League.   The team that defeated Ardagh on Saturday 1st October in the Tom Langan Park was: Mairtín Flannery, Martin Heffernan, Colm Doherty, Mark Gaughan, Steven Tighe, Declan Caulfield, Paul O'Connor (0-1), Padraig Gardiner (0-1), Donal McLean, Patrick Tighe (1-0), Fergus Tighe, Shane Healy (0-2), Francie Bonner (0-1), John Madden, Simon Barrett (0-3).

Final Score was: Ballycastle: 1-8;   Ardagh: 0-4.

Tidy Towns

The Committee wish to thank all who displayed window boxes and maintained them during the summer.   They ask for help with the last round of the Litter League.   Make October a litter free month.

Death

The death occurred last weekend of Padraig Doherty, Belderrig Beg (brother of Seamus, Carrowcubic & Michael (Doonfeeney).   Sympathy is extended to his wife Nora, his family, relatives and friends.

Information Evening

An information evening on “Understanding Depression in our Community” will be held in Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Belmullet on Wednesday 12th October from 7.00p.m. – 10.00p.m.   Speakers include Gareth O'Callaghan, Broadcaster & Psychotherapist, Jim Brett, Retired Community Mental Health Nurse, and other speakers.    All Welcome.
