Chairman Martin Heffernan, in his address, said 2009 was a very successful year for the club. The Junior team won the Mayo Junior Gaeltacht title and represented Mayo in the All Ireland finals in Rosmuc, Co. Galway and also advanced to a higher division in the Championship and gained promotion in the League. Underage teams amalgamated with Round Towers and adapted the name Naomh Padraig for all under 18 teams. All underage teams performed well with the Minor team winning the Div. 2 League. The National School team also won their competition.

A lot of work was done on the pitch, stand and clubhouse by RSS workers and the committee to mark the 25th anniversary of the pitch.

He thanked all who were involved with underage teams, the executive committee for their tireless work, all the people who helped with fundraising and all the club members for their continued support.
