Weddings

Congratulations and best wishes for the future to Tony McLean, Rathoonagh, Ballycastle and Patricia Walsh, Celbridge who were married on Thursday 30th June and to Rosie McDonnell, Seaview, Ballycastle and Anthony Birrane, Kincon who were married on Saturday 2nd July.   Both weddings took place in St. Brigid's Church, Ballycastle.

 

Community Games

Congratulations to Ballycastle Athletic Club who were awarded the prize for the Best Dressed Area in the parade at the Mayo Athletic Community Games Finals held in Claremorris on Saturday 2nd.

Congratulations also to Keith Garry who came third in the U-14 Boys Long Puck competition.

Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns Committee wish to inform their supporters that the first half of the County Council Litter League is over.   Score for Ballycastle   -   won 2,  lost 1.   To win the last 3 rounds, everyones help is needed to keep the Town litter free.

Ballycastle defeated Castlebar B on Sunday 3rd   in Tom Langan Park, Ballycastle.   Despite playing with the breeze, Ballycastle only lead 0 –3 to 0 –2 at half time.   The wind also favoured Ballycastle in the second half and they improved their play, eventually scoring 6 points in the second half.

Race Night

Race Night, in aid of Ballycastle G.A.A. Club, on Saturday 16th July in Katie Macs at 9.00p.m.   Horses can be purchased from any Club member for 10 euro.    Races can be sponsored at 50 euro per race.

St. Patrick's Education Centre
