Suífinn Way

The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese and her husband Dr. Martin McAleese came to Ballycastle on Tuesday 5th October to officially open Suífinn Way . The development consists of 20 independent living houses for the elderly, on site caretaker and a community day care centre. The day care centre is a hive of activity – community care provide meals on Monday & Friday, there is active 55+ exercise classes, computer classes, book club, creative writing & card games to name but a few. Sincere congratulations are extended to the committee f or their continuing dedication and enthusiasm for the project from the outset.

Death

The death occurred last week of Teresa O'Donnell, Ballinglen, Ballycastle. Sympathy is extended to her husband Anthony, son J.P., daughters Mary, Nora, Betty, Loretta, Catherine and Jane, relatives and friends.

Art Classes

Art Classes resumed on Monday 4th at 7.00p.m. in the Resource Centre. New members welcome.

 

Dancing the Rainbow

One day dance workshop on Saturday 23rd October from 10.30a.m. – 5.00p.m. in the Resource Centre, Ballycastle. Fee: €50. €10 deposit secures place.
