Céide Rose

Congratulations to Liat Barrett, Ballycastle on being crowned ‘Céide Rose 2013' at the opening of the Ballycastle/Belderrig Gathering Festival on Thursday 1st . After being crowned Céide Rose, Liat cut the tape and officially opened the Festival.

Well done to all the 17 girls who took part, they were all brilliant and looked fantastic.

‘Gathering' Festival

Well Done to the Festival committee and all the helpers for a fantastic Festival so far. The Festival got off to a great start with the Céide Rose Competition on the opening night with a large crowd in attendance. On Monday, Ballycastle came alive with the Street Festival which was a huge success and a great day was had by all. The concert in Céide Fields Centre on Tuesday night was another very enjoyable event. The number of children attending all the children's events have exceeded all expectations – e.g. almost 90 children taking part in the street art competition!!!

Let's hope the weather stays good for the rest of the week and we look forward to the remaining events.
