Cycling Club

Ballycastle Cycling Club, in conjunction with Mayo Sport Partnership as part of Bike Week, will host a family fun cycle on Saturday 10th June at 6.00p.m. from the Céide Coast Lodge, Ballycastle. Refreshments served. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Admission free.

 

Death

The death occurred recently of Mary Tomas, Ballyglass, Ballycastle. Sympathy is extended to

her brothers Martin and Michael, her relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Retirement

Mrs Maureen Burke is retiring this year after 29 years teaching in Ballycastle National School.

We would like to put a memory book together of her teaching years which is 35 years in total. If you would like to email a short note of your memories with your name and year she taught you or even as a parent of a child that was taught by Mrs Burke that would be greatly appreciated.

Ballinglen Exhibition

A solo exhibition by Ron Rumford  'Coast Watcher' at the Ballinglen Gallery, Ballinglen Arts Foundation continues until June 26th 2017.
In addition to his newest work we will install within the gallery, 'Giant Steps':

25 years of prints by Ballinglen Arts Foundation Fellows with works from the Foundation Archive by international artists.  Do come along and see these wonderful prints!

 

Train The Trainer QQI Level 6

This course runs over four days and will be running on the 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th of June in Áras Inis Gluaire, Béal an Mhuirthead from 9am – 5pm on each day.

The total cost of the course will be €550. Those in receipt of a social welfare payment may be entitled to a training allowance. Booking is essential.

Weekend away:

Ballycastle Cycling Club weekend away is planned for September 9th in Ballycastle, Co. Antrim to take part in the Giants Causeway coast sportive 57km, 126km and 182km. Any non club member who would like to come along will be made more than welcome. Contact Máirtin Flannery for more details.
