Death

The death occurred on Monday of Johnny Tighe, Laragon, Ballycastle. Sympathy is extended to his wife Bridie, daughter Geraldine, sister Evelyn, brothers Noel and Tom, son-in-law Ronan, grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace .

 

Ballycastle/Belderrig Festival

Ballycastle/Belderrig Festival will take place from Thursday 30th July – Wednesday 5th August with Children's Events, Céide Concert, Fair Day, Golf Challenge, Treasure Hunt, Scenic Walks, Belderrig Bronze Man, Healyfest and Giro de Baile.

Pioneer National Pilgrimage

The National Pioneer Total Abstinence Association Pilgrimage, in honour of the Venerable Matt Talbot, will take place to Knock Shrine on Sunday July 19th 2015. The Chief Celebrant will be, His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Eamon Martin, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland. All Pioneers are encouraged to take part and wear their pins. Pioneers from the Mid-Killala region are asked to gather in Chapel 5 before 2.00 p.m. so as to facilitate assembly for the procession after Mass.

Exhibition

“ A Place for Memories” Exhibition at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation Gallery opens on Saturday 4th July from 8.00p.m. – 10.00p.m. and will run until 14 th August. This Exhibition features a wonderful selection of paintings by Philadelphia Artist Magda Vitale. Refreshments served and everyone is welcome.
