Churches reopening

Churches will be reopening for public Masses on the weekend of 25/26th July.

Collection Baskets will not be passed around, please continue to put the envelopes in the letter boxes at each door.

When people come to Mass, if they wish to wear a face mask, they may do so.

It is compulsory for Eucharist Ministers to wear a mask when distributing Holy Communion.

The 2 metre physical distancing applies in the Churches for your safety.

The volunteers are appealing to everyone for their co-operation and exercise of personal responsibility.

A meeting of all Eucharist Ministers will take place in Ballycastle Church on Wednesday 22nd July at 7.00p.m. It is important that all Eucharist Ministers attend.

Mass on Downpatrick Head, which usually takes place on the last weekend of July, has been cancelled for this year.

The annual climb of Croagh Patrick, which takes place on the same weekend, has also been cancelled for this year.

St. Bridget's Church is open daily for anyone who wishes to visit for quiet prayer.

During the week, please use the side door on the east side (the door where the wheelchair parking is allocated) as the other doors will remain closed and will only open for weekend Masses.

Weekly Church Envelopes

From now on there will be 3 ways for parishioners to return their weekly collection envelopes – you can drop the envelope into the parish house, in a post box in the Church or pay on-line at www.killaladiocese.org . If you opt to pay on-line, Fr. Conlon will get a statement at the end of each month with names of parishioners that have signed up and amount that has been contributed. This money will then be transferred to Ballycastle/Belderrig Church accounts. If you have any questions on this, please ring the parish house Tuesday – Friday from 1pm – 3pm.
